reSOLUTE Stays NYC - Two Events

After the hot and steamy month of August we hope all of you are ready for a fall kick-off with some cool beats and memorable moments. We have prepared a two night event which will showcase some of our favorite artists and will take place in two different locations.

reSOLUTE 026: A Boat Without A Captain

reSOLUTE is sailing away for the summer days and we have pulled an ace from our sleeve to make sure this will be one to remember. Don’t be alarmed, we’ll be back in September for more debauchery, but until then we’ll be traveling and exploring the rest of the planet. So on Saturday, July 18th we are going back to the Boat Without A Captain, and this time in its newest location. Adjustments have been made to the boat, so we are ready for a 21-hour stretch of pure pandemonium! To make this night/day even more special, we will be celebrating birthday of a person which needs no introduction; Nektarios’s !!!!!

The lineup is nothing less than immaculate (at least in our opinion), and it will be divided into night and day portions. Opening things up for the night will be our lovely Connie, who will make sure you get a proper stretch while getting your mood in tune for the hours of fun ahead. Thema Records head honcho Lenny de la Posso will follow up and prepare the grounds for Quenum who is making his long awaited return to New York and will be delivering his oh-so-delicate signature cadenza sound. Next up is one of the key figures of Swedish electronic music- – Mikael Stavostrand, who will be playing his ground-breaking Live set. Continuing into the night we have a reSOLUTE newbie, Mike Khoury from Listed.

Come sun-up, we introduce a fresh face to New York, Axel Bartsch, making his NYC debut and blowing kisses to everyone, “because music is like kissing, highly emotional and sensual, the feeling of approaching lips…KISS…like kissed by music”. Enough said Axel, we’re in! After making out; it’s time to get down to business with one of our favorite New York djs, Steven Le Tigre. So now, who’s ready for some funky sexy house?!

On June 20th, 2009 we are back with another night of mayhem.

Making his USA debut is a very talented Frenchman Rodriguez Jr. who will be playing his highly acclaimed Live set. His unique blend of sexy French house and minimal tech is not to be missed. Returning stateside for his second reSOLUTE appearance will be Mark Henning. Mark has been releasing groundbreaking music on labels such as Soma Records, Foundsound, Trapez Limited, and this summer he will be joining the crew of the eclectic and always modish, Clink Records. The title track, ‘Jilted Love’, is a frisky affair loaded with spooky appeal. ‘Punch Bowl’, also an upbeat number that houses chilling undertones sets in place a package for the depths of the dancefloor and most memorable moments of the night.

We are marking this as a special farewell party for our dear Elon, who will be moving to Berlin for the summer… but don’t worry, he won’t be gone forever- we will definitely make sure you see him again.
