reSOLUTE Goes Detroit - May 24th, 2009

Sunday morning (3am), May 24th... mark your calendars because reSOLUTE is going back to Detroit for yet another sunny summer sock hop during the Movement Festival!

Last year was one to remember and we have even bigger surprises planned for this year.

We will be returning to our now favorite Detroit venue—TV Bar. With a perfect mix of indoor and outdoor areas for mingling, canoodling and some good old-fashioned dance floor action, we couldn’t have found a better place for this shindig. And we’ve hooked up both areas with a brand-spanking-new sound system to make sure you don’t miss one blip, beat or tweak.

As far as the line up goes, well, let’s just say we’ve secured one to keep you delightedly dancing all night, morning, and afternoon…

People come and people go, but no matter where they go, they always come back home.

With that in mind, for this reSOLUTE 022 edition, on Saturday, May 16th we are bringing home everyone’s dear Camea. Camea recently moved to Berlin and has been stirring up Clink madness all over Europe.

We know, we know, we’re just as excited as you are to have her back!

In keeping with our theme of artist/talent discoveries, we have a superb Live act coming all the way from Tokyo for their exclusive gig and USA debut. Side B is a two-man show composed of Masanori Itabashi and Ryori Nakamura. Their techy minimal live act is not to be missed.

Sealing the deal we have always eclectic Elon and Connie on their residential duties :)

although the cold seems never-ending and summer seems to be dragging her capricious little feet, we here at reSOLUTE are determined to outdo this meteorological tantrum with a mid-springtime bash! on saturday, april 25th we’re bringing Andrea Ferlin to town, alongside newly discovered talent Clint Stewart. add residents Elon and Connie to the mix and we have the makings for an unbeatable pants-off dance-off extravaganza :)

Andrea Ferlin was born in Cagliari in 1973—a scant 15 years later, he purchased his first set of turntables and began his venture into the realm of dance music. within a few short years he managed to develop his own distinct sound, setting him apart from the movement proposed by all the other disc jockeys in Sardinia. over the last two years, Andrea has played alongside artists such Richie Hawtin, Steve Stoll, Chris Liebing, Aux 88, David Alvarado, Marco Carola, Gaetano Parisio, Carl Craig, Troy Pierce, and Marc Houle, and has graced the decks of clubs such as dc10 Ibiza, Womb – Tokyo, Ever – Tokyo, Mixrooffice – Tokyo, Departure Lounge – Tokyo, Circus – Melbourne, Musica – Sidney. it will definitely be a treat to hear this talented and beloved Italian bring his own take on techno to the reSOLUTE table!!!

as you’ve seen, we are constantly seeking out new and exciting artists and inviting them to our underground playgrounds to delight us with their innovative performances. Clint Stewart is one such artist who has been shaking up dance floors all around America, and it’s only a matter of time before the other side of the pond gets their hands all over him too! we can’t wait to hear what booty-shakin delectation he has prepared for our listening gratification.
